Services and Consultation

I can provide the full range of architectural services or can tailor my services for your particular project and needs. Customarily, the range of architectural services includes:

• Pre-design research to determine the parameters for design: zoning code, historic district restrictions, conservation department requirements, etc.
• Programming and design concept: goals, must haves, and wish list items for the design
• Documentation: photographing and field measuring of existing conditions to create base drawings
• Schematic design: "trying on" design ideas and preparing preliminary plans and elevations for review and discussion
• Design Development: refining the schematic design, selection of materials and finishes, and obtaining preliminary price estimates
• Construction Documents: preparing the final pricing and permit drawings including specifications and consultation with structural engineer
• Bidding: reviewing pricing by contractors
• Construction Observation: visiting the site to observe ongoing construction and conformance to the drawing and specifications, reviewing change orders, reviewing payment applications

Additional design services may include:

• Interior design services: selection of finish materials, furnishings, fittings, and fixtures
• Custom cabinetry design
• Preparation of drawings and documents for hearings before town boards and commissions
• Space planning and limited design services including furniture arrangements and shopping excursions to trade-only showrooms

I am also available for peer review, shop drawing production, and design collaboration and consulting
